VNGRD is a retrospective on the clothing brand born in Milan in 2005 as the natural creative expression of a group of designers and artists who had lived for years in the heart of the city's underground.
Thanks to a naïve and self-taught approach to design and a refusal to obey the commercial mores of a world that was transitioning from a traditional model to today's ultra-connected landscape, VNGRD questioned everything and connected many of the people who would later become protagonists of the zeitgeist.
Guided by the creative direction of Giorgio Di Salvo, one of the two founders, VNGRD quickly acquired a cult status, amassing collaborations with brands such as Stüssy, SUPER, FUCT and Slam Jam, receiving recognition among others from Kanye West, and throwing seeds that would have given birth to the Octopus brand: the motif with tentacles was in fact born as a graphic by VNGRD in 2006.
